Default Title in logon screen to another domain

Hi everyone,

I have customized the logon screen in Zimbra 6.0.7_GA_2473.RHEL5.NETWORK and I change title in ZhMsg_es.properties the splashScreenAppName and this work. But now I create another domain and I'd like change the Title too but I don't know what file or files I need to change.

Thanks in advance.

Are you using just one mailstore? If you are, then I don't think that you can make a different title for the different domain since it's using the same ZmMsg.properties file.

I had a similar issue with 2 domains over 2 proxies and 7 mailstore servers. Since the mailstores are the reverse proxy lookup targets for the proxies, I needed to make a generic username field that would accommodate both domain users. I ended up using the following in ZmMsg.properties:
username = <span style="white-space:nowrap"><b>Faculty/Staff</b>: Username:<BR/><b>Students</b>: Email Address (<i>username</i>@domain.edu)</span>

I still have the same single splash screen, but at least users from the two different domains can figure out how to login.

Someone on here must know of a better way to do what we want.

I also have two domains and one server and both have different title, login theme and company logo. Here is my setup

1. Select a theme with its own logo (i.e. lemongrass, wave, tree, lake)
2. Change the company logo for each theme and use the COS settings to dedicate a specific theme for each domain.
3. Now, browse each company domain by using this URL.

Note: Zimbra server hostname = zimbra.company1.com

4. Here is my DNS setup:

Company 1
A: zimbra.company1.com xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
MX: 10 zimbra.company1.com company1.com
Web Forward: mail.company1.com = company1.com - Company Resources and Information. This website is for sale!
cloak: yes
title: Company 1 Web Client Log In

Company 2
A:
MX: 10 zimbra.company1.com company2.com
Web Forward: mail.company2.com = company1.com - Company Resources and Information. This website is for sale!
cloak: yes
title: Company 2 Web Client Log In

Company 1 users will be access =http://mail.company1.com
Company 2 users will be access =http://mail.company2.com

Optional: You can create a vritual host for company2.com in the Admin Console so that users may not need to include @company2.com when typing their username in the log in screen.

PS: All of my zones where hosted at zoneedit. My Zimbra server uses live IP with firewall enabled.

Sorry for the typo error. My sample URL gets tagged by a link. I don't know why. I need to put "" for it to display correctly. Here it is

Company 1 "http://zimbra.company1.com/zimbra/?skin=wave"
Company 2 "http://zimbra.company1.com/zimbra/?skin=lemongrass"

Then use webforward so that mail.company1.com will redirect to "http://zimbra.company1.com/zimbra/?skin=wave" and mail.company2.com will redirect to "http://zimbra.company1.com/zimbra/?skin=lemongras

Cheers

Sorry for late reply, we've been busy migrating our mail server.

Yes, you need to crete another COS for each domain. Then you need to limit the theme that is allowed for each domain to prevent the user from changing to another theme that has the other company logo.

We're now using the ZCS 7.1 GA and I have two domain with the other having a blue theme (wave, sky, and lake) then the other has green theme (lemongrass, tree and pebble). Users had only 3 choices for the theme.

Hi aldennis, I'm following your instructions but I don't find where I can change the Splash Screen like SplashScreenAppName variable in order to have different titles in each theme. The title that I want to change is the one below the logo.

Thanks for your help
