Question Rename server in ZCS v7 NE, zmsetservername supported?

Hi everyone

We've finally decomissioned our old MS SBS 2003 server so we are looking to rename our Zimbra machine from zimbra.domain.com to mail.domain.com
We're running

The zmsetservername command is present in /opt/zimbra/libexec

But I notice there are no docs for v7 in the wiki... ZmSetServerName - Zimbra :: Wiki
And the zmsetservername command is not available in the NE v7 Admin Guide... http://www.zimbra.com/docs/ne/latest...0Commands.html

Does that mean it is not supported with v7?
Has the command even been updated to work with Zimbra v7?

Cheers, B

There's no reason why the command would not work with ZCS 7, the usual proviso applies - take a backup before you make any changes.

Ok fair enough - absolutely take backups
Will copy off the whole /opt/zimbra directory as well
Will definitely be giving this a go in a couple of weeks when our commercial SSL certificate is up for renewal.
I guess if it all fails then it's disaster recovery time!
