Question Anti-Sapm Anti-Virus Activity

Hi
5/10/2006 i installed zimbra 4.02 OSS
on Suse 10.0 with ext3 file system
freshclam.log and clamd.log seem ok but in the "Anti-Sapm Anti-Virus Activity" Tab i can't see any images?
Can you help me?

ARe you talking about the statistics in the admin ui? If you are, do a search of the forums a fix was posted by me recently that probably relates to your problem. If that's not the fix then there are solutions on the forum to graphs not showing problems.

Yes i'm talking about the statistics in the admin ui
I have this problem only for the Antivirus antispam section all the other report are ok
I seached for your post but ....
my /etc/hosts is ok
when i ping nitwzim.no-ip.info dns resolves in 8.4.112.108 but i have no reply
insetad if i ping to 203.193.129.103 (the ip i found in the post) i succeed in obteing reply
i have no suse firewall active

I would try fixing your DNS problem before worrying about the graphs.

Is 'nitwzim.no-ip.info' a dynamic dns service that you're using? How are you updating the records? Does it actually have DNS A & MX records pointing to your IP? Do you know what your public IP address is? You can find out by using http://whatsmyip.net/

Question

Hi
My dns seems ok when i installed zimbra i have no problems (no messages about misconfiguration about my dns)
i have dns installed with mx record
with nslookup i find my zimbra server for my domain with set type=mx search
zimbra is in my private network behind NAT
before zimbra i have a proxy smtp that check e-mail is possible that i have no graphs because i have only clean mails?

Right, we'll be going round in circles here.

Is nitwzim.no-ip.info the domain name that points to your server? If not what is the domain name and do your public DNS records point to it? You can check that here The IP address 203.193.129.103 does respond to a ping but that doesn't mean anything, it wont allow a telnet to port 25 at that address. Why are you mentioning two IP addresses?

perhaps i have done confusion
clear all please
this is my situation:
my domain is hosted in service in www.register.it
there i set my domain name A, MX record etc with public ip
then i have a public access to internet with my firewall and my public ips
and nat rules
behind i have private network where i installed zimbra on suse with bind
I have configured bind not with my public ip but with my private ip with A and MX record
Zimbra respond to telnet on port 25 and send and receive is ok
only

hi
my problem is resolved
as i supposed as soon as i received the first virus in a message graphs are started regularly

Now i have found the right post (about "australopitecus") and i control my dns is right.
Excuse me for the confusion about dns i didn't understand a precedent post.
