Default email variable for zmprov ga

I am migrating employees over to a new domain
I have to physically change some variables to make it so the account is truely in the new domain:
Example
Already renamed the domain in the admin console to be rrodriguez@domain2.com

zmprov ga rrodriguez@domain2.com | grep rrodriguez
# name rrodriguez@domain2.com
amavisArchiveQuarantineTo: rrodriguez-20110301@domain1.com.archive
mail: rrodriguez@domain2.com
mail: rrodriguez@domain1.com
sn: rrodriguez
uid: rrodriguez
zimbraArchiveAccount: rrodriguez-20110301@domain1.archive
zimbraMailAlias: rrodriguez@domain1.com
zimbraMailDeliveryAddress: rrodriguez@domain2.com
zimbraMailForwardingAddress: rrodriguez@backupmail.domain1.com
zimbraPrefFromAddress: rrodriguez@domain1.com
email: rrodriguez@domain1.com

I need to change all the variables that still have domain1 listed, but i am curious about the "email" variable.

May I ask why not use zmprov -l rd <old_domain> <new_domain> ? ("rd" = "Rename Domain")

That command changes all the domain-related variables for all mailboxes within the domain.

You could always add the old domain back as a domain alias if you want users to be able to continue to receive emails sent to the old domain.

Hope that helps,
Mark

Default

In our environment we have two business units one at domain1 and the other at domain2. Our mail server hosts both domains.
