HTTP Status 403 - must authenticate

I am getting this error message,

HTTP Status 403 - must authenticate

when trying to open a attached pdf using FF 1.5.07. Works with Internet Explorer.

I am using Network ed 4.02

This can be caused by:
Erasing cookies
using the admin ui to login as another user while logged into your own account.
Auth session expiring

to fix it, just logout and login again.
