Lightbulb [MailboxPurge] purge - Purging messages

I would appreciate if someone can clear my doubts on this. I am seeing this in my mailbox and would like to know what is causing it, and for what reason.

What I understand is that zimbra does this process of clearing out its memory usage, ie. purge(delete) all mails that were opened for use to clear out memory. So this 'doesn't' mean that the message has been deleted or removed from the server in anyway. Am I right here?

I have some info from wiki article on this subject but would like to know more about it.

Thanks guys.

I think you are misunderstanding the wiki page (or I am misunderstanding your post). The purge process is looking at mailboxes that are loaded into memory. It actually IS looking to see if there are any messages in the mailbox that should be deleted. This is going by your Zimbra server policy on retention of items such as Trash/Deleted, Spam, Sent, etc. These are controlled by the settings described in the wiki.
