Default [SOLVED] iPhone Exchange server zync with Network Edition

Hi all,

I have been trying to synchronise my iPhone for testing purposes to the recently upgraded OSE to Network Edition dedicated server I have (as I am hoping to take my company towards this solution).

The only problem is I cannot for the life of me get it to syn correctly using the exchange funcitonality on the iPhone.

It just keeps saying: "Cannot verify your settings".

Zimbra mobile is turned on in the admin gui. I have been entering:

hesan@domain.com
server: domain.com
domain: left blank
login: hesan
passw: xxxxxxxxxxxxx

Any ideas?

Hesan

Enter the domain. You have to specify the domain and the user name.

No, adding the domain does not make a difference at all
I'm afraid...

Anyone have any idea or able to offer assistance on this? Has anyone successfully synced the Network Edition with iPhone latest OS using Exchange technology?

Any tips and or experiences would be greatly welcomed.

Hi,

Sorry, I don't mean to be rude, but that's not exactly very helpful!

As I said prior, I have tried putting the domain in on occasions and in other cases have left it blank. Now when you add the first lot of details a field labelled "Server" appears and something is required to be added in there, but again I have tried lots of combinations and nothing seems to work.

Any constructive ideas as to what I may be missing?

Many thanks in advance.

You have to put the URL of your server into the server field. Like: mailserver.yourdomain.com

Right, here is what I do:

1. Type in the email address at the top: hesan@sussexxx.com
2. Leave the Domain blank (as its optional)
3. Username: I put in the email username
4. And add the password

I then click on Next.....

Then another field, "Server" appears underneath the "Email" field. I then place in my server details, which is: mail.domain.com (in this case for instance mail.sussexXX.com).

I then click on Next and this is the error I get back:

Exhange Account: Unable to verify account information.

This happens every time.

Is anyone able to offer any advice or help to allow me to test the sync out properly?

I've setup several IPhones and 1 IPad. In each case, I had to user the full email address for the username.
