Setting up a Test enviroment

We have been using and testing ZCS in our offices and now would like to recommend some of our clients purchase and use it.

While we have a standard licence to cover our needs, we need to setup a test server that will allow us to check the impact of ZCS on our clients before we do any installs.

Is there a simple way to do this without purchasing another license for our enviroment testing? I am guesing the best option is to download trial versions as needed for setuping up varying tests, but I wanted to be sure there was not another option.
