Default task reminders by email?

Hi,

I really would like one feature: when i create task to user XY, task reminder - email will be sent to him so he knows there is new task in his task list.

Is something like that possible? Now there is reminder checkbox + send email option => but that sends it only to me...but i want it to go to the owner of the task.

Not to mention that best thing that is not possibe is ability to actually assign task to anyone without need to share task lists.

Thanks
Radim

ok..i've changed my profile information.

But I'm still really curious - is it possible or not? Don't tell me nobody find this as standard feature of any application that organize tasks.

Thanks
Radim

In general a user sets automated reminders for himself. I am not sure how important setting up automated reminders for another user is.

Actually, I think I have the same problem. I don't get how the user is supposed to have knowledge of a new/changed task if there is no way of sending a reminder to him?

For me sharing tasks is pointless, if there is no way to let the user who shared a task (list) to me know, that I added or changed something in his task-list.

Or are all people involved in a task expected to control their tasks list for updates by the other involved people daily?

I guess I'm missing something general, but I'm wondering how somebody is really doing task management with zimbra without that feature? Maybe I'm just to much used to how it works in Outlook/Exchange ....

Cheers,
Malte
