Default [SOLVED] Zimbra File Attachment Storage Handling

Hi all,

How does zimbra handle file attachments storage;

Can any one tell me if zimbra has mechanisms to reduce file storage for attachments?

ie. storage of a single copy when sending mail attachments to several users.
Forwarding attachments..

Thanks in advance for feedback

Asif

No, they're not. One copy of an attachment sent to multiple users is kept on the mail server and, obviously, you'll see a 'copy' in each mailbox.

Thanks for your information, I understand one copy is saved under one user when it is sent to multiple users, If that user deletes how other users can access the attachment.

We assume attachment is stored in one of users mail store, if our understanding is incorrect, where this attachment is stored in zimbra.

Thanks,

Nothing happens, the file is still available to the other users.
