Default system failure: Extension HTTP handler not found at /convertd

Hi there,

I'm new to zimbra and have installed the 7.0.1 network edition trial.
if I try to open an pdf attachment I get the following error (instead of the attachment preview)
system failure: Extension HTTP handler not found at /convertd

thanks in advance,
kind regards,
Christian

Am I the only one with this issue?
I've checked all log files, all modules seem to be fine.
Is it a bug with 7.0.1? does someone get this error message too if the opens an attachment as preview?

With the new 7.1 edition I got the same problem.
Previewing of PDFs and some other files does not work anymore...

Christian,

would you like to generate a bug report due to this problem?

Hi all,

have you solved this issue or opened the related bug?

I experienced the same problem after an upgrade to 7.1.1.

Thanks!

Regards

Default solved

This is not (probably) a bug.ZCS 7.1.x version does'ntt have the package rpm convertd. Convertd rpm is only in NETWORK EDITION (paid version).
You can manually try to install the package convertd but do not know if this solves the problem.

Probably this action also violates the license terms of Zimbra OpenSource software (you need to check this carefully).

for sure I have the network edition.
But it doesn't work - rpm zimbra-convertd-7.1.1_GA_3196.RHEL5_64-20110527001604 is installed

If you're implying that the Convertd can be installed on an Opensource zimbra server then the answer is, it can't nor should anyone try it. If there's a problem with the above installations (who all appear to be NE users) then they should check if convertd is installed and/or running, if it isn't then an 'upgrade' will install and configure it.

Default system failure: Extension HTTP handler not found at /convertd

i have the same error on the network edition 7.1.1 and convertd is installed.

This is the errormessage:

system failure: Extension HTTP handler not found at /convertd

In the serverstatus windows the service convertd shows me green for working
but the preview will not work.

What can do to make it work ??

ROTFL!

I pay a lot of money for a license and I have a problem - an interesting solution.

https://bugzilla.zimbra.com/show_bug.cgi?id=62752

Applications, as convertd are free in most poor Opensource-type solutions even Squirrellmail (pdftohtml, v2doc, etc) . Now the standard is to create documents such as MS Office documents (open/edit/write).
