Default [SOLVED] Domain Administration & Role-based Delegate

Hi all,

In the product comparing table there is an entry for "Domain Administration & Role-based Delegate" which is not available in the open-source version.

Can somebody elaborate on that?
Can the two administration zimlets (samba and posix) still be installed and used in the open-source version?

Wht do those zimlets have to do with Zimbra Domain Administrator features?

Default admin zimlets should work fine in FOSS

Well they may be two different things but both are about administration and domains, especially the samba zimlet which is supposed to automatically create domains saved in the corresponding xml files..
Anyway I ran into issues when after having deployed those two zimlets in version 7.0.0 and I thought this might be related to the missing bullet in the features list..
Just wanted to exclude this possibility.
So the answer is: those two admin zimlets should work fine in FOSS edition.

Thanks for the quick reply

The Zimbra Domain features relate to administration of Domains within Zimbra itself, it does not relate to any external features.

..... and those zimlets relate to using the Zimbra LDAP to allow your users to authenticate against Zimbra - nothing more.

I don't use them but as far as I know, they should work exactly the same as they used to - if you have problems the obviously post in the forums and also raise a bug report.

There should be no reason for them not to work if you follow instructions in the article.

Just to be sure, are you talking about this one?
UNIX_and_Windows_Accounts_in_Zimbra_LDAP_and_Zimbr a_Admin_UI_6.0

I almost know this by heart by now as I have tried many times already
I ran into this. Will try some more and post my results.
