Default Zimbra quota claims used space is more than it is?

I have one user on our system whose mail quota is set to 512MB. The ZWC is claiming that he is using 390MB. The problem is that the other day, he deleted a good 250MB from his inbox. But it seems as though the quota claim remains. Interestingly, if you hover over the "Inbox" it says Size 341MB. But he has 240 messages, and only two are over 1MB. All of the rest are under 100k (way under). It does not add up. Is there a way to tell zimbra
to "rescan" this inbox? Has anyone seen this before?

I have reindexed the mail box (not sure why) but that did not change anything.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.
