Default Thunderbird 3.1 and Zimbra 6.0.9, problems with POP3

How to connect thunderbird 3.1 to zimbra mail server via pop3 ?

If I setup Tbird, to use plain pop3 and port 110 I get this error
Quote:
only valid after entering TLS mode
If I use TLS encryption and port 995 I don't get nothing. No response, no error.
Where to look in logfiles for this kinds of things ?

Best regards, Najtssob.

Are you the administrator of the server?

I have access to the server, but I don't have much experiance abot administrating ZCS.

I just turned on pop3 logging for account in question, but i found nothing in mailbox.log

this is the command i used. Do I need to restart server ?

When I've setup Thunderbird in the past, I've always either gone with IMAPS or POP3S (SSL versions of both).

If you're trying to connect to a remote server, you'll want to make sure the appropriate ports are available on the the firewall.
