Default [SOLVED] Can't find message in log!

I know this is a silly question, but where do I look for a message? I checked all the *.log files in /opt/zimbra/log, but I couldn't find the message in question.

My problem is that nagios on the backup system isn't sending email to the primary.

So I have nagios@backup.mydomain.com sending to myuser@primary.mydomain.com - the Nagios log says it is sending the message, yet the primary server doesn't seem to show anything in the log! Am I missing something? I tested that I can send from the backup to the primary with the addresses nagios is using, and it worked fine.

There are several places you can check:

/var/log/zimbra.log
/var/log/mail.log
/opt/zimbra/logs/mailbox.log

You'll want to make sure you check all of the logs, they roll every now and then. i.e. /var/log/mail.1.log
var/log/zimbra.1.log

Etc.

Thanks! FYI - the cause of my problem was the hostname of the box. It wasn't set to the FQDN, it was just the hostname and was being rejected by the destination server. I forgot that changing the hostname doesn't stick after a reboot.
