Default [SOLVED] Zimbra Server Crash - ldap - cache is out of date or doesn't exist

Our server crashed after a power outage. After that Zimbra services doesn´t work anymore. We followed all the procedures described in Zimbra Wiki and Forums to restore our backups, but always without success!!! We use the OpenSource Version.

The main error was:

"ldap - cache is out of date or doesn't exist" - I followed all this thread: http://www.zimbra.com/forums/adminis...t-exist-2.html - but without success

I removed all the /opt/zimbra directory and restore from our backups (many different days Complete and incremental versions ) and nothing!!! Also try remove everything and reinstall and restore backup, always when the backup (no matter what version) is restored the same error appears!!

No matter how many times I reinstall Zimbra (version is 6.0.5) the problem persists!
All the 3 years of e-mails of entire company was lost... Is there any hope to restore that??

I´m not native english speaker, so sorry for the poor quality of my english.

Anybody can help please??

Why did the server crash? How have you been taking the backup of your /opt/zimbra directory structure? Did you take a backup before you removed the /opt/zimbra directory? Are your DNS records and the hosts file correct? Go to the Split DNS article and run all the commands in the 'Verify ...' section to check it's all OK.

1.Power outage
2.We copy entire directory
3.I have backups of 10 different days, but doesnt works any of it
4.Yes, all the DNS records were tested.

Any idea?

The first thing you can do is post the output from the commands in the Split DNS article 'Verify...' section, just for confirmation.

How are you creating a backup of the /opt/zimbra directory, rsync or something else? I assume you had ZCS 6.0.5 installed before the crash?

Your errors occured when:
- Zimbra can not start ldap service --> it would try to find /opt/zimbra/log/.zmcontrol.cache --> if this file is not exist you would get that message.
So please check:
- If your ldap server running?
- If that file is exist?

After following all the steps described in the "Split DNS" article, still showing the same error.

Still no luck!!

-Yes the ldap server is running
-Yes the file exists

But the same error still appear:

Starting ldap...Done.
Unable to determine enabled services from ldap.
Unable to determine enabled services. Cache is out of date or doesn't exist.

You have to run this command as root:

Code:
/opt/zimbra/bin/zmcertmgr viewdeployedcrt all
and look at the 'notAfter' attribute.

Regars
