Default Zimbra OSE as Border Spam Filter

Hello,

Please excuse me if this is covered elsewhere.

Does anybody know how to configure Zimbra OSE to act as a border anti spam server ?

I'd like to be able to use the spam filter to clean the mail prior to delivery to the "real" server.

Many thanks

Chris

The border or edge concept is equivalent to Split Domain - Zimbra :: Wiki
I'd also read Managing Domains - Zimbra :: Wiki

Basically you can accept mail for all the domain and forward it quite easily, but it might make more sense to do an ldap lookup against the internal host (if you can) or maintain a static list in postfix or provision accounts on the edge if you can't do it dynamically.

Many thanks for the info.
I see what you mean about the LDAP lookup.
Would you happen to know if Antispam can be instigated prior to forwarding ?
IE The border server swallows all the spam and only forwards the HAM..

I'm Looking at Zimbra MTA - Zimbra :: Wiki

I'm wondering if Amavisd is called when Postfix is forwarding mail and if forwarding is prevented in that situation ?
