Default Preferences tab problem in 7.0.0

Hi,

I noticed some weird behaviour specialities under PREFERENCES tab in ZCS Webmail user interface after upgrading from 6.0.7 to 7.0.0

1.) SIGNATURE settings cannot be saved. Bug already reported, but unconfirmed.
2.) SIGNATURE is not inserted automatically, despite of proper settings. If I add it manually, it is sometimes inserted BEFORE the quited text, and sometimes AFTER the quoted text.
I haven't found any pattern when and why it happens. Simply replying to mail, adding text and signature...and sometimes it is inserted correct, and sometimes at the very bottom of page.
3.) PREFERENCES->MAIL when saved, you are thrown to MAIL tab. Why?
4.) PREFERENCES tab, when I just click on it, and then go back to MAIL or other tab, it asks me if I want to save changes...but I didn't change anything.

Are all these BUGS, or is there something wrong with my 7.0.0 upgrade?

Sorry for bumping, but doesn't anybody else have problems with PREFERENCES or SIGNATURE tab in webmail in 7.0.0?

Either they haven't seen your post or they don't have the 'bugs'.

You really haven't given any information on you point #1 & #2 about what the steps are to reproduce the problem. Have you reported the bug for your point #1? If you have (or even if you haven't) it would be an idea to post the bug number. Anyway, to answer your question, I don't see any such problem that you've described here with regard to point #1 & #2 - it works fine for me.

Point #1, works for me.

Point #2, works for me.

Point #3, that's working as designed and it's always worked that way - search bugzilla for further information on that behaviour.

Point #4, that's also working for me without the 'save' message when switching between the Mail & Preferences tabs. You need to describe the exact steps to reproduce it if your problem is moving between another page in the preferences tab then switching back to mail.

I went from 6.09 to 7.0 on Saturday.

#1 - I'm able to save my signature
#2 - My signature is added when composing
#3 - This has always been (As long as I've been using Zimbra)
#4 - I don't get the prompt.

Did you remember to run the migrate20100913-Mysql51.pl after the upgrade?

I'm seeing the same as lytledd, Only difference is I upgraded from 6.0.10, using RHEL5.6 64bit and my testing is not on a production server. My test server only has a few accounts.

Then how about you giving us some steps to reproduce the problems or you could file bug reports for the problems as I certainly don't see them.

Hmmm...nope. I was kinda confused reading some instructions (...which I cannot reffer to, 'coz I have no idea whic ones ), one saying it is a need to, and others it is not mandatory.

Will run now and report back...

EDIT: Me back. MySQL schema upgraded sucessfuly ("Altered 100 mailbox groups in 145 seconds"), but unfortunatelly none of my problems solved. Still users cannot edit SIGNATURES, nor SAVE any change under PREFERENCES tab. Must have gone something wrong during upgrade...

...and I also found BUG report for the particular issue, which seems similar to mine, except of the fact that on my system none of changes to PREFERNCES tab survives logout-login procedure - all changes are lost, and cannot save.
Bug 56690 – cant save signature
