Default Admin Zimlets (samba / posixaccount): Menu entries gone in 7.0

Hi everybody,

just updated my Zimbra Installation from 6.0.8 to 7.0, update worked fine, no errors, everything is working, but:

In Zimbra 6.0.8 I installed the admin zimlets zimbra_samba and zimbra_posixaccount for managing accounts for samba and posix which worked without any problems under 6.0.8

After the upgrade the zimlets are shown in the admin extensions list but the corresponding menu entries are gone.

Re-Deploying with the admin console or with zmzimletctl and flushing zimlet cache didn't help, I didn't find any errors in the logs.

The only hint i found is in Firebug while loading the admin console:

ZaZimbraAdmin.MSG_KEY is undefined
ZaZimbraAdmin.MSG_KEY[ZaZimbraAdmin._POSIX_GROUP_LIST]="PSXGroups_view_title";

I don't have an idea where to find the obviously missing
ZaZimbraAdmin.MSG_KEY ...

Can anyone help? Thx a lot.
Snoopy

EEEK! I am just waiting for confirmation that samba/posixaccount doesn't break on upgrade from 6.0x to 7...
Have you resolved this at your site yet?

I wonder, does anyone have this working on their site with zimbra 7?

Default some more hints

we ran into the same problem

6.0.4 -> 7.1.2 (32bit EL5)

running the admin console in Chrome with javascript console enabled we see this error in the js of zimbra_posixaccount just after

ZaCert.TARGET_SERVER_CHOICES=[{}];

Error :

Zimlets-nodev_all.js.zgz.js:53Uncaught ReferenceError: com_zimbra_cert_manager is not defined
label:com_zimbra_cert_manager.lb_ALL_SERVERS,value :ZaCert.ALL_SERVERS

Smile Working fix

It seems that the zimlets were not updated correctly on our system.
Therefore the new posix zimlet failed due to dependencies/errors on older core zimlets. redeploying them fixed the problem and the panel showed up again.

Make sure you have a working backup BEFORE! Especially of the /opt/zimbra/zimlets-deployed folder.

what we did (no warranty disclaimer comes here):

zmzimletctl deploy /opt/zimbra/zimlets/com_zimbra_cert_manager.zip
zmzimletctl deploy /opt/zimbra/zimlets/com_zimbra_adminversioncheck.zip
zmzimletctl deploy /opt/zimbra/zimlets/com_zimbra_bulkprovision.zip

which updated to the current ZCS 7.x core zimlets. since then the posix tab shows up again!
