You can see on the Downloads page that there's no version for Debian 6, you can also see on that page that there will be no Zimbra binary for any version of Debain after the current 7 version.

Hellow phoenix...

Why Zimbra don't support Debian in future releases?

I'm now in Debian 5 with Zimbra 7.0 and run everything smooth...

If this is the last version for Debian I have to investigate with other distributions...

Sad to deprecate Debian...

Thanks.

Regards.

There are plans for a DEBIAN6 release. However, it takes time to get a new platform up and verified, and the operation of dpkg was changed since DEBIAN5 which needs some special handling as well. There will be a DEBIAN6 release at some point.

@quanah: Great news !!!

This would be really nice to keep my favorite collaborative platform on my favorite OS!

It would be all the more so nice if NE version could support Debian

Any News on this topic?
Will Zimbra 7 run on Debian 6 ?
Or just the 8.X will support Squeeze ?

You'll most likely see an announcement when it's available.

It's not built for that platform.

I know Zimbra 7 is not built for Debian 6
My question was will it support Debian 6 in the future releases?
Or will be some version of the Zimbra 7 that will run under Debian 6 ?
Thanks

It may come a bit late, but I have successfully installed Zimbra 6 on Debian Squeeze, following this great tutorial.

And I have also upgraded to Zimbra 7 with the Debian 5 installer, after downgrading dpkg as explained in the aforementioned tutorial.
And so far, everything works fine.
