Default Zimbra Mailbox Export-Import Failed With Empty Inbox

We set up a domain for a client on our Zimbra hosting farm for them to use until the hardware for their own dedicated Zimbra server arrived.

Now that their own new dedicated Zimbra server is ready, we exported and imported the mailboxes just fine, except for one mailbox where the contents of the Inbox (about a dozen emails) did not import. While the user was able to use a mail client to configure two IMAP accounts (one on our servers and one on their server) to just drag 'n drop emails over, we'd like to have comfort that nothing else in their mailbox failed to be imported. The mailbox is ~1GB and we did set the quota on the mailbox much higher than that before running the import. :-)

The export procedure we used was to ssh into our client's dedicated Zimbra server and then run:

Code:
w3m "https://ourserver.reliablenetworks.com/home/user@domain.com/?fmt=tgz"
To do the import, we just ran:

Code:
/opt/zimbra/bin/zmmailbox -z -m user@domain.com postRestURL “//?fmt=tgz&resolve=reset” /tmp/zcs-exports/user.tgz
The odd thing is that /opt/zimbra/log/mailbox.log shows messages being imported into the Inbox folder successfully; they just didn't appear in the ZCS web client...

Reindexing the mailbox after the import didn't help either.

Has anyone seen this before?

Thanks!
Mark

Default Same here

seems you are not the only one...

i got exactly the same procedure between 2 servers , and got the same result.

Release 6.0.10_GA_2692.DEBIAN5 DEBIAN5 FOSS edition.

the mailbox size show us the right size, as the mails are still somewhere,
but impossible to access to any messages, all folders are empty.

Reindexation have no effect on.

Any solutions ??

We think it was a browser issue.

Using a different workstation the mailbox appeared populated.

Hope that helps,
Mark

I'd suggest at this point that you should open up a ticket with Zimbra Support. Please keep us posted as to the outcome!

All the best,
Mark
