Default How to find Zimbra version without starting?

How can I determine what version is installed just by looking within in the zimbra directory on the filesystem? I can't currently start it because it was recovered from a failed server.

You can safely run "zmcontrol -v" without starting zimbra services.

su - zimbra
zmcontrol -v

You can also query rpm db for zimbra packages, installed packages will be zimbra version.

rpm -q zimbra-core
