Environment: 2 servers with CentOS 5.5 running ZCS 6.0. Server #1 is a Zimbra LDAP server on a physical machine and Server #2 is a VMWare Virtual Image running everything except the Zimbra LDAP and Proxy.

My problem is that the stats related to the LDAP server are not being displayed in the web based admin panel.

This wiki post Logger (ZCS 6.0.x and later) - Zimbra :: Wiki states that the outputs of commands mentioned at the bottom of the page be posted while trying to ask questions on this forum while troubleshootng Logger and Stat issues so here goes....

Sorry I am new to Zimbra. I am not sure whats going wrong. I have been trying to troubleshoot this issue for the last 2 days but in vain. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
If you would like the results of other commands feel free to let me know.

Hi Shane, this issue has been discussed and resolved so many times here. There is a bit of work you'll have to do. Check these thread, I hope it helps. search.

Did you do the full "multi-servers" setup?
You have to setup syslog (on the ldap server) to "send" logs to the mailbox/logger one. And setup syslog on the mailbox/logger to listen to the sent logs...

@Klug: Yes I followed the official Zimbra multiserver installation to the "T". Here is what I did....

1.On each server, as root /opt/zimbra/bin/zmsyslogsetup.

2.On the logger monitor host, I enabled syslog to log statistics from remote machines by ...
a.Editing the /etc/sysconfig/syslog file and adding -r to the SYSLOGD_OPTIONS setting, SYSLOGD_options=”-r -m 0”
b./etc/init.d/syslogd restart.

Do you see messages from the LDAP server in the /var/log/messages of the mailbox/logger server ?

@Klug: Nope I don't. Thats the part that I don't get. Do both my servers have to be on the same subnet? As far as I can tell there are no network ACLs in place however if they both need to be on the same subnet I can do so.

They don't have to be on the same subnet.
But syslog traffic needs to be able to go from the ldap server to the other one...

@Klug: tried everything but nothing seems to work. I even put it on the same subnet but in vain. Seems like the logs are not getting to the mailbox server. /var/log/messages doesn't show anything that says a connection from the ldap server is being made.
