Default [SOLVED] URGENT How to by-pass amavis

Hi,

After reboot all my mails are bounced by amavis (I think) with message:

...dsn=4.4.2, status=deferred (delivery temporarily suspended: lost connection with 127.0.0.1[127.0.0.1] while receiving the initial server greeting)

Before try to solve the problem let me know how to by-pass amavis to deliver the mails waiting.

Thanks in advance.

Sam.

The 'zmamavisdctl status' give:

Quote:
amavisd is running.
And I don't see any log to check to see what's wrong, only /var/log/mail.log with the error:

Quote:
...relay=127.0.0.1[127.0.0.1]:10024, delay=4253, delays=4253/0/0/
0, dsn=4.4.2, status=deferred (lost connection with 127.0.0.1[127.0.0.1] while receiving the initial server greeting)
To explained the origin of problem, the Zimbra worked fine more than one year but my hosting company make a machine update and the RAM grows from 8 Gb to 16Gb, but after reboot nothing worked, and the first problem was Java don't start any more I had to set:

Quote:
zmlocalconfig -e mailboxd_java_heap_memory_percent=15
to make it working.

Perhaps this talk to you...

Thanks a lot for your help.

Sam.

I restarted amavisd and check the status, zmcontrol status show:

z
Quote:
imbra@zimbra:/$ zmcontrol status
Host zimbra.geismar.com
antispam Running
antivirus Running
ldap Running
logger Running
mailbox Running
mta Running
snmp Running
spell Running
stats Running
At this time I commented the line:

Quote:
#content_filter = smtp-amavis:[127.0.0.1]:10024
In postfix main.cf and restart it to by-pass amavis to deliver the waiting mails

Have you an idea ?

Thanks in advance.

Sam.

I got:

Quote:
zimbra@zimbra:/$ zmantivirusctl stop
Stopping freshclam...done.
Stopping clamd...done.
zimbra@zimbra:/$ zmantivirusctl start
Thu Jan 13 15:37:15 2011 Rewrote: /opt/zimbra/conf/clamd.conf with mode 288
Thu Jan 13 15:37:15 2011 Rewrote: /opt/zimbra/conf/freshclam.conf with mode 384
Starting zmmtaconfig...zmmtaconfig is already running.
Starting amavisd...amavisd is already running.
Starting freshclam...done.
Starting clamd...done.
But always the same error and the mails go defered

It worked fine before the machine upgrade and it start without problem. I re-installed the zcs-6.0.7_GA_2473.DEBIAN5.20100616212143 but nothing change.

Did you think that the Amavis on ZCS 6.0.7 is outdated ?

Why !!!!

The /etc/hosts:

Quote:
# /etc/hosts

127.0.0.1<----->localhost.localdomain<->localhost
88.190.221.42<->zimbra.geismar.com<---->zimbra
88.190.221.41<->postfix.geismar.com

# The following lines are desirable for IPv6 capable hosts
# (added automatically by netbase upgrade)

::1<--->ip6-localhost ip6-loopback
fe00::0 ip6-localnet
ff00::0 ip6-mcastprefix
ff02::1 ip6-allnodes
ff02::2 ip6-allrouters
ff02::3 ip6-allhosts
Quote:
host `hostname`
zimbra.geismar.com has address 88.190.221.42

telnet localhost 10024:
Quote:
Trying 127.0.0.1...
Connected to localhost.localdomain.
Escape character is '^]'.
220 [127.0.0.1] ESMTP amavisd-new service ready
/etc/resolv.conf
Quote:
nameserver 127.0.0.1
#nameserver 88.191.254.60
#nameserver 88.190.221.42

Without amavisd mails are well sent/received

I loose my head

Help.
