Question zmprov not deleting account references in mySQL?

I have been cleaning up my zimbra users and after deleting about 130 users yesterday, when I pull my reports for users and last logins i still get about 20 reports of users not existing in the ldap database even though mySQL returns results for them. So is there something I need to do other than
" zmprov da user@domain.tld " when deleting accounts from CLI ?

This is on zimbra 3.1 btw, I know I'm working on an older version and hope to be able to upgrade in the next month or two but for right now this is the only problem I seem to be having. It causes two problems for me, first and foremost being the extra processor time being used to query ldap based on what the mysql database returns for users. Second being that it causes lots of ugly errors in my script.

Thanks,
kyle

Marc posted a script in this thread

Another zmpurgemessages problem

that cleans up mailboxes that don't have associated accounts.

Cool. I forgot to mention that the 4.0 version of zmprov deletes both the account and the associated mailbox.

Only problem I'm having is zmpurgemessages reports an error "Received SOAP fault: authentication failed for zimbra" immediately, I'm assuming it should be ran as zimbra (and thus shouldn't need to authenticate) but I'm not sure how the SOAP requests work just yet.
