[SOLVED] GetServiceStatusRequest reporting 0's

Hey guys.

I know there have been several post about this issue and I have tried a lot of the solutions, but none of them have solved my issue.

First a bit of info of the installation:
Release 6.0.10_GA_2692.RHEL5_20101215171125 CentOS5 FOSS edition.
It has an internal ip-address, and a DNS that has splitt up internal and external resolves. I dont think that is the problem though, but it might be worth mentioning.

So, from the Zimbra wiki, about Logger:

I have tried to restart anything I have found, but have'nt found anything that solves this. Any more hints?

Go to the Split DNS article in the wiki and post the output (just for confirmation) from the commands in the 'Verify...' section of the article.

I read in some other thread that the syslog was important.

I installed syslog-ng instead, then uninstalled rsyslog

yum install syslog-ng
/etc/init.d/rsyslog stop
/etc/init.d/syslog-ng start
yum erase rsyslog
chkconfig syslog-ng on #set syslog-ng to start on boot
/opt/zimbra/libexec/zmsyslogsetup
su zimbra -c /opt/zimbra/bin/zmcontrol restart

then I refreshed the admin interface, was disappointed, did something else for some minutes, then when I got back it was working again.

It should work quite happily with the default syslog in CentOS, it does on my servers - anyway, glad you've fixed it.
