Default [SOLVED] Upgrading from 6.09 to 6.10 fails

Hey everybody,

Maybe someone can give me a few pointers. I'm currently running 6.09 FOSS edition, under VirtualBox 3.2.12. 64BIT edition. The host is running Mandriva 2010.1 64BIT, on a Core2Quad with 8GB memory for the VMs.

The guest is running Ubuntu 8.04 64BIT LTS, 4GB memory and 2 CPUs. Split DNS is running under a 2nd virtual machine. I've been running under this setup since 6.07.

In the zmsetup logs, the following two errors stand out:

Sat Jan 1 07:23:41 2011 *** Running as root user: /opt/zimbra/bin/zmcertmgr deployca -localonly
** Importing CA /opt/zimbra/ssl/zimbra/ca/ca.pem into CACERTS...done.

Valid Certificate: /opt/zimbra/ssl/zimbra/server/server.crt: OK

And the error:

Sat Jan 1 07:33:44 2011 *** Running as zimbra user: /opt/zimbra/bin/zmmailboxdctl restart
Stopping mailboxd...mailboxd is not running.
Starting mailboxd...done.

After the upgrade completes, doing a zmcontrol status shows everything up and running, but a few seconds later mailbox isn't running. I have the zmmailboxd.out with a portion of the entry below:

50715 FATAL [main] system - Unable to initialize servlet ExtensionDispatcherServlet; halting
javax.servlet.ServletException: Invalid port number "%%zimbraMailPort%%" in allowed.ports parameter

I've reverted to the previous snapshot to get things up and running again (I do love that)

Any suggestions? I can supply more information upon request.

Thanks!

Doug

I'll move this to the correct forum as it's not a question about the Zimbra Appliance. It would appear from the log snippet that your certificate has a problem, has it expired?

Just an update on this thread. The issues I had were resolved with the upgrade of VirtualBox from version 3 to version 4.
