There are several solutions listed in the thread that you mention, have you tried all of them? What happens when you try to release a virus?

say the mail is from a domain1.com to an account in zimbra, is there a way to bypass the amavisd checking for that domain/account?

[QUOTE=Saturdays;205289]I tried almost all the solns in the thread, when the mail is send out, its tagged as virus again.[/QUOTE}So what you're saying is that the virus email does get released but it just gets tagged again as a virus? Obviously if the email is a virus it will get quarantined again as it goes through amavisd again. That's not quite the same as being unable to release it, you could try the extract that's mentioned in your link or whitelist the domain: site:zimbra.com +whitelist +amavisd - Yahoo! Search Results

yes, its getting tagged as virus.

sorry, for misleading you by my words. but the released mail is not a virus, it contains a zip file attached to it and amavisd is tagging it.
thanks for pointing me to the right direction (my head was spinning for the last few days and I could not remember about white listing in amavisd conf.)

Are you sure it's getting tagged as a virus and that it's not being blocked as an encrypted archive?
