Default [SOLVED] Possible to allow emails to non FQDN address?

If I try to send an email to 1234@fax Zimbra complains that this is not a FQDN address and doesn't allow the email to be sent.

Is it possible to allow sending to @fax and if so how would I do it?

Thanks

That's correct.

No, you can't do that as it a non-RFC complaint email address.

Hey phoenix,

I understand that this is not allowed on the internet, but what about if @fax is on the LAN?

It's also not allowed by Zimbra as it's an RFC compliant server.

Is this linked to GFI Faxmaker by any chance? If so, we've used this software in the past (and stopped using it because it's rubbish) If I remember right, you can get it set up so email to fax@company.com will work, but I cant remember exactly what we did.

Dirk, I'm using HylaFAX, but getting it going is quite an effort
