Using a backup MX is likely to open that as a
target for spammers, it's a well known problem with a backup MX server. My advice would be to use a professional service that provides a Backup MX and will also have a server that's on-line 24/24. The alternative (and one which I use) is to get that service as part of a Domain Hosting service, I use
EasyDNS to host my DNS and they have a service that will accept mail if your server is down. They also store the mail for up-to five days (or when your server is back on-line) and then forward it to your Zimbra server. That's a relatively inexpensive service and works extremely well, I must point out that I have no association with EasyDNS other than as a happy user of their service.
