You should update your forum profile with the output of the following command (do not post the output in this thread):

Code:
zmcontrol -v

What exactly are you trying to do (please give a complete description of your requirements)?

I want a HOT (or automatic cold) backup to my open source edition (to a windows share) and configuration of my Pineapp mail secure (Anti spam) to work with zimbra LDAP.

Have you tried the hot backup scripts available from the forums/wiki? My advice on this would be to set-up a test server that is a copy of your current server and isolated from it. Try some of the hot backup solutions provided and try the restore until you're happy you know how to a) restore individual mailboxes and more importantly (in my opinion) b) how to do a disaster recovery. FWIW, you need to be able to understand how a backup and restore is done rather than relying on an external consultant who may not always be available when disaster strikes.

What do you mean by 'work with'? If you are just authenticating against the Zimbra server then that should be a trivial task, what problem are you having with that? Is this a new install or an upgrade from a previous version (what was the first version of Zimbra you installed)?
