| | [SOLVED] Lot of mails deferred Hi everybody,
I've got a huge problem, Lot of my emails are in deferred queue with different message errors like this.
conversation with name.domain.com [x.y.y.z] timed out while sending message body
conversation with name2.domain2.com [z.m.b.g] timed out while sending end of data - message maybe sent more than once
host name3.domain3.com [e.t.h.f] said:421 transmission channel timeout. (in reply to end of data command)
host name4.domain4.com [d.t.q.r] refuse to talk to me: 450 4.7.1 client host rejected: cannot find your hostname [x.m.m.m]--> this is my public IP
delivery temporaly suspended: conversation with name5.domain5.com [l.p.i.u] timed out while sending message body
lost connection with mail.domainx.com [x.x.x.x] while sending end of data -- message maybe sent more than once
I don't know what could be happened, however there are many domains I can send message without problem
I'm using zimbra 6.0.8.
thanks |

| | I assume this is a problem with a Zimbra server not Zimbra Desktop (which is where you posted), I'll move it to the correct forum.
When posting errors you should copy/paste the exact error lines you see in the log files and more than just single lines.
Is this server behind a NAT router? If it is, have you set-up a Split DNS (you should). Do you have a reverse DNS set-up? If not you need one and you must contact your ISP for them to set it up for you.

I have reverse zone in my internal DNS and certanly the zimbra server is behind a firewall in a DMZ.. should I have an special configuration for this?
thanks in advance |

| | I've already changed my ISP provider with new PTR, but the same problem, there are lot of mails deferred to some domains, but I can send and receive message from others. |

| | Let's start from the basics, go to the Split DNS article and in the 'Verify...' section there are several commands to check your internal configuration - run all the commands in that section and post the results here.
