Default [SOLVED] General Zimlet Troublshooting

Hi,

I can't get any Zimlet to appear other than Local, Maps and Flickr.

I'm interested in using the Drag And Drop, StickyNotes and SmartSheet zimlets.

I've had no trouble installing them, at least I think...

as in:

[zimbra@mail root]$ zmzimletctl deploy /opt/zimbra/zimlets/com_zimbra_stickynotes.zip
[] INFO: Deploying on mail.myserver.com
[] INFO: Deploy initiated. (check the servers mailbox.log for the status)
[zimbra@mail root]$ zmzimletctl deploy /opt/zimbra/zimlets/com_zimbra_stickynotes.zip

[] INFO: Deploying on mail.myserver.com
[] INFO: Deploy initiated. (check the servers mailbox.log for the status)
[zimbra@mail root]$
[zimbra@mail root]$ zmzimletctl listZimlets
Installed Zimlet files on this host:
com_zimbra_adminversioncheck
com_zimbra_backuprestore
com_zimbra_bulkprovision
com_zimbra_cert_manager
com_zimbra_convertd
com_zimbra_delegatedadmin
com_zimbra_hsm
com_zimbra_license
com_zimbra_mobilesync
com_zimbra_stickynotes
com_zimbra_xmbxsearch
Installed Zimlets in LDAP:
com_zimbra_stickynotes
Available Zimlets in COS:
default:
com_zimbra_stickynotes
[zimbra@mail root]$

I've deployed and undeployed to no avail. Stopped and started the Zimbra server and even rebooted it. They'll show up in the Admin console, but I can never see the ones I want in either Zimbra Desktop or in the web client.

I may be missing something obvious so if you've successfully deployed zimlets and you can point me in the right direction I'd sure appreciate it.

Thanks!

bubarooni have you tried flushing the zimlet cache? After you deploy just give this
$ zmprov flushCache zimlet
And then clear your browser cache .. That could be of help.

Make sure you've enabled it for the COS and inside the account under preferences .. which i guess you have.

It still acts a little flaky but I can get them to show up now using the flush command. Thanks fyd!

In betwee I have a quick query for you boobarooni. I see you are using Smartsheet zimet. Do we need have an account with smartsheet to activate the zimlet and use all its features? I mean like a payed account. Or is it totally free?

well, i just went ahead and started a new thread on the Sticky Notes issue I'm having. It's located here:

http://www.zimbra.com/forums/adminis...t-problem.html

However, since you don't seem to mind helping me...

I'm a little concerned I may have goofed something up. I got impatient before I got your post and undeployed every zimlet and then started over. Now I'm concerned that I should have left some of the Zimlets that were already deployed intact. Look below and let me know if some of those zimlets should have been left alone.

--AVAILABLE ZIMLETS--
[zimbra@mail root]$ ls /opt/zimbra/zimlets
com_smartsheet_zimlet.zip com_zimbra_email.zip
com_zimbra_adminversioncheck.zip com_zimbra_local.zip
com_zimbra_bulkprovision.zip com_zimbra_phone.zip
com_zimbra_cert_manager.zip com_zimbra_stickynotes.zip
com_zimbra_date.zip com_zimbra_url.zip
com_zimbra_dnd.zip com_zimbra_ymemoticons.zip

--CURRENT ZIMLETS CONFIGURATION--
[zimbra@mail root]$ zmzimletctl listZimlets
Installed Zimlet files on this host:
com_smartsheet_zimlet
com_zimbra_adminversioncheck
com_zimbra_backuprestore
com_zimbra_bulkprovision
com_zimbra_cert_manager
com_zimbra_convertd
com_zimbra_delegatedadmin
com_zimbra_hsm
com_zimbra_license
com_zimbra_mobilesync
com_zimbra_stickynotes
com_zimbra_xmbxsearch
Installed Zimlets in LDAP:
com_smartsheet_zimlet
com_zimbra_stickynotes
Available Zimlets in COS:
default:
com_smartsheet_zimlet
com_zimbra_stickynotes

Thanks Again!!!

Hey fyd!

You get a 30 day free account, but after that you have to pay.

Pricing for Online Project Management, Work Management and Crowdsourcing Software | Smartsheet

I haven't got very far with it yet, but am thinking about trying out the basic plan once my 30 days expires.

As this thread isn't about Zimlet development (which is what the Zimlets forum is about) I'll move this to the correct forum.
