Default Split DNS

Using the instructions in the wiki if i build the conf file as noted in the wiki i get a string of errors. I am using Cent 5.5 64 bit. Has anyone built this split dns inside of this environment and had it work?

Yes, I have. Why don't you post the information that 'doesn't work'? You could also post in this thread all the output from the commands in the 'Verify...' section of that article.

the verify doesn't matter because bind rejects the config and won't start. Can you post a redacted bind.conf so i can see what i must be missing?

No, I can't do that as I don't use BIND any more I use faster and more secure DNS server namely PowerDNS. How about you post your configuration files so we can see what they look like? What was wrong with using your Active Directory server? There's really no need to set-up another DNS server if you already have one on your LAN.

AD is setup for .local and it's not wanting to do .org as well. ok look like i'll manually nuke the root@<localhost> account then.. Then i won't be having to mess with the mail it's generating.
