    Default Outlook connector sync?

Is there a way to make the outlook connector sync for offline mode only the last few months mail instead of the whole mailbox? Same question for zimbra desktop. Some of our users have enormous mailboxes, and I would rather them not have a zdb file that is huge on their local computer...

Also - my *.zdb file is about double the size of my actual mailbox.. When I click quota it says I have 950 megs of mail, but the zdb file is 1.9GB. Why is that?

    Thanks

    Default

Currently there isn't a way to do that with Outlook. However, when configuring a profile, you can opt to download headers only, which will reduce of the .zdb significantly.

Bug 12790 is out there -- this would be another way to keep the size down.

Bug 47759 is also out there. This is similar to what you are requesting.

You can vote for these bugs -- that could influence whether they get done.
