Default need particular calendar functionality

Hi .. I want to be sharing a calendar with folks all over the world. When someone in another timezone views this calendar, I need that person to see it in their timezone. Example .. I set a lunch date for noon US MST and someone on the east coast US needs to see that shared calendar with the date set for 2 PM (their time in their timezone). I need this to be simple for the other uses ... no math required. Is this possible with the Zimbra calendaring?

Is this a question about Zimbra Desktop (which is where you've posted it) or Zimbra Collaboration Suite? If it's ZCS please update your forum profile with the output of the following command (do not post it in this thread):

Code:
zmcontrol -v

Default No sure

Thanks for replying, Bill. I am not sure what product calendaring is part of. I am not involved with any of them yet. If I can't get this functionality, I will not bark up Zimba product trees. Just seeing if it is possible.

I'll move this to the ZCS forum as that's where the main functionality is.

The answer to your basic question is, yes, the user will see the appointment in their local timezone (it wouldn't be much use if it didn't do that).

Default Thanks

Thanks, Bill. That is good news. I agree that it is basic functionality but I am surprised at it not being part of other calendaring offers I've checked into. For example, Google and Yahoo calendars, very popular, do not have it. Users have to do the math.

Next I have to find a Zimbra hosting company that can host this app for me. Then I need to embed access and share the calendar via a Joomla! build web site. Any hints along those lines would be most appreciated. Especially the app hosting.

Thanks.
