Default Changing browser access from HTTPS to Both HTTPS and HTTP

During setup of 4.0, I set the url access to HTTPS only. How do I change this setting to allow for both HTTPS and HTTP connections?

Have a look at the zmtlsctl command.

zmtlsctl both, but it seems to be a relatively recent addition and didn't work when I tried it.

Bug 5594
TLS mode "both" causes redirection limit problem

for now there is only "mixed" mode which will allow connections over http but will force the login to occur over https

Default Difference Between "Both" and "Mixed"?

The 4.0 manual does not document these two settings.

What are the differences in functionality between the two, please?

Ideally, we would like users to be able to go to either an http or an https site, be redirected if required to login in over https, and then continue to utilize https so that all communications between the browser and the server is encrypted.

Our medical clients require this for HIPAA compliance.

i believe mixed mode does what you want. if you go to http you get redirected to https, i think. the both mode should allow you to continue the session either in http or https mode.
