Default Help on updates installation and language

Hi guys,

im looking for help in installing updates. the following email has been received in my administrator account

Code:
The following updates were found:

1.  non-critical.  Version: 6.0.8_GA_2661, URL: http://www.zimbra.com/downloads/os-downloads.html

Zimbra Updater
How can i install them? I cant find anything in the administrative GUI.

furthermore i have a problem with email display in inbox. Some emails have strange symbols displayed. Not the contents in the email but the actual inbox where it shows all messages

The messages points you to the page to download it, do that and run the installer. You could also read the Release Notes or Product Documentation on how to update Zimbra.

phoneix,

the file prompted to download is the whole package (>400mb). Is that the way zimbra is updated new version must be configured over the top of existing installation?

Furthermore the OS patches are done via apt-get update command?

Yes, as detailed in the Release Notes and Product Documentation (and all over the forums).

Yes, but you need to be careful which updates get applied - that's a question for you sysadmin.
