What error, if any, do you get when you run 'zmprov help'?

I get same error about authentication?

This sounds like a similar problem I had at one time, it wound up being the ldap root and ldap zimbra password not matching if I'm not mistaken? It could be different, but it was definately 2 passwords that got out of sync that caused it for me.
