Default [SOLVED] New location setup and upgrade to major release.

Hi ,

We are running Zimbra NE v 5.0.11_GA_2695 on single server. We want to upgrade it to version 6.0 and also want to add a new location server.
Does zimbra allow upgrade to major releases with existing license?
Do I need to purchase additional licenses for new location sever?

Please guide.

Thanks

P

as long as your license is still valid you can upgrade to 6.0. Read the ugprade guide to verify that you can upgrade from 5.0.11 straight to hte latest version of 6. You won't need to purchase additional licenses if the new server will be part of the existing installation, as in you're moving to a multi-server install.

Ok upgrade went smooth. Now my zimbra Release is 6.0.9_GA_2686.UBUNTU8_64 UBUNTU8_64 NETWORK edition.

Only one problem I am facing. I am not able to see the certificates from admin panel. I tried to regenerate and re-install self sign certificates but it didnt help.

Thank,
P

hey P ..
So I guess you having a healthy cert and it just won't show in zimbraAdmin. Can you check this and see if your zimbraRemoteManagementPort is the same as your ssh port in sshd_config?
su - zimbra
zmprov gs <zmhostname> zimbraRemoteManagementPort
I am just guessing it

Thanks for pointing out that this is related to SSH. I forgot to mention that I am able to see the queue stats via admin panel.
My /etc/sudoers file is managed by puppet and it reverted back to version 5.0 after upgrade
Addtion of below line in /etc/sudoers fils solved my issue
%zimbra ALL=NOPASSWD:/opt/zimbra/bin/zmcertmgr
