Default upgraded system - zimbra not working

I am a zimbra know nothing - so sorry in advance, I fully expect to not understand what you are trying to explain. but... these forums have helped in the past so here goes:

I am running an e-mail server w/ zimbra off Ubuntu 10

the machine said i needed to update - I did - zimbra will not open back up.

and...while I'm not sure what I was trying or expecting I did su - zimbra and tried running zmcontrol status... and I got this:

/usr/bin/perl: symbol lookup error: /opt/zimbra/zimbramon/lib/i486-linuxgnu-thread-multi/auto/IO/IO.so: undefined symbol: Perl_Tstack_sp_ptr

any help is appreciated - if you need more info I'll do my absolute best - Thanks

Search the forums for the error message you are getting; it has been brought up before. Looks like your system update may have included a new version of Perl which is no longer compatible with the Zimbra version you are running. Unfortunately if you are a "zimbra no nothing" I'm not sure how easy it is going to be to fix.
