Default /tmp/convert folder fill up disk space

Hi,

Is there any reason why /tmp/convert folder would fill up the disk space? Any idea up to how large this folder can grow?

usually this folder would be empty. but there was a time that it took up 4GB of space which was kind of unusual.

Perhaps there was some error with file conversion, what was actually in the folder?

Hi,

Thanks.

i didn't actually open the files so i'm not able to tell. i deleted all of it right away (i should have moved them somewhere instead =( ..) to clear the space so the mailbox server can resume running. i only allocate 5GB on / partition. then on that day /tmp/convert fill up the space abruptly.

i saw some conversion errors on the log as below.

[Mon Oct 11 11:57:52 2010] [notice] mod_convert: post="NC Covered Site 28 Sep_Res.xlsx" i=21744489 fmt=t err="conversion failed (21)"
[Mon Oct 11 11:57:52 2010] [notice] mod_convert: post="NC Covered Site 28 Sep_Non-Res.xlsx" i=447430 fmt=t err="conversion failed (21)"

But I also have these kind of logs every now and then from 3 months back and up to now. But it had never fill up the space on all these occasions. Only once on that day.

What is actually written in that folder? Because i always see that folder empty except on that day?

I had to restart zmcontrol after i have deleted the /tmp/convert files because there was an issue with mysql.
