Default [SOLVED] zimbra user unknown

Hi.

I have a zimbra server running on ubuntu.

I ave a problem on checking the zimbra version due to unknown "zimbra user"

Q: How can i know what is the "zimbra user" user name and password?

I have the root password of that server.

Q: Is it possible to run "zmcontrol" under root? or other user?

Regards
Guy.

How are you switching to the zimbra user - what's the exact command and output you're using?

There is only one way to become the ZImbra user and that is from the root account:

Code:
su - zimbra
or for Ubuntu

Code:
sudo zimbra
It's not necessary to enter a password zimbra user (except for the root password when using sudo) in either those cases.
