OK, if it's gone it's gone. Seems odd to remove functionality even if trivial with such limited user feedback. I never saw a clamour from users for the view to be removed.
One of those cultural quirks of OSS vs FOSS I guess.
Is there anywhere that specifically draws attention and lists outgoing features or functionality? It might help to determine if something is used or helpful more than just does anyone complain when we do. This view thing is the sort of superficial function that can make a difference to someone who wants it that will be unheard but just contribute to a feeling of 'doesn't fit'.
Suggesting it is in bugzilla wouldnt really help as very few end users visit it or drive it as it is all a bit fussy for that level of user interaction. If we had a top 10 things being dropped in Zimbra version 'the next' or similar then it might help get a feel for those users needs or use.
Just to get a feeling for it, do you need the same kind of groundswell to remove features as needed to add some? If not which way should it be biased? |
