Hi. I'm just doing this myself.

You will have to upgrade 5.0.14 to 6.0.8 32 bit before you go to migration to 64 bit.

What you will also need to check, if you have the latest v5 version, or whether you need to step upgrade first. Check the release notes for 6.0.8 to see what versions you can upgrade from. As you might find you need to do a few upgrades (32 bit) side, before you get to 6.0.8.

If you are migrating from 32bit to a 64bit system there are specific steps you need to follow, you should read the wiki article: site:zimbra.com "32bit 64bit" - Yahoo! Search Results

Please also run "zmcontrol -v" as the zimbra user and update your profile so we know the exact version and flavor (OSS or NE) of Zimbra you are running.

In addition to Bill's suggestion to follow the extra steps required for 32-bit to 64-bit server-to-server moves as documented in the certified Zimbra wiki, I'd also review the "Talk" page covering that wiki article (to get DB_CONFIG caution), as well as Ajcody-Notes-Server-Move - Zimbra :: Wiki

Our preference when doing server moves is, if the availability of Zimbra binaries allows for it, to upgrade the source server to the latest version (6.0.8+P2 at this writing) first.

We have just done several server-to-server migrations in the past few weeks of long-running Zimbra servers, and had no issues whatsoever (yet!) going from 6.0.8 source systems to 6.0.8 target systems using the "install.sh -s > rsync > 32-64 LDAP export/import > install.sh" methodology.

Hope that helps,
Mark

Check if /opt/zimbra/postfix/conf/transportfile exists. If it does, you can do:

Code:
postmap /opt/zimbra/postfix/conf/transportfile
and this will create the transportfile.db

In my installation, I don't have this file. Another way, is you could always do:

Code:
cd /opt/zimbra/postfix/conf
cp transport transportfile
postmap transportfile
my transport is empty, and doesn't have anything in it, other than all the comments.
