Default ???remote.CONNECT_FAILURE??? - Not bad file descriptors

2010-10-19 13:51:50,082 INFO [btpool0-37://e.mail.net/zimbra/] [] HttpMethodDirector - Retrying request
2010-10-19 13:51:50,089 INFO [btpool0-37://e.mail.net/zimbra/] [] HttpMethodDirector - I/O exception (java.net.SocketException) caught when processing request: Socket closed
2010-10-19 13:51:50,089 INFO [btpool0-37://e.mail.net/zimbra/] [] HttpMethodDirector - Retrying request

Im seeing the following in my mailbox.log, its not the file descriptors problem as ive already fixed that - and i dont see the error in the logs any more. However, i am still seeing remove.CONNECT_FAILURE a couple of times a day at the login screen.

Im not running NAT, split DNS, etc standard set up, all the DNS, hosts, config etc is correct and resolvable.

Running ubuntu 10.04 and Zimbra FOSS 6.0.8, anyone else seeing this?

Do you have any firewall on this server or in front of it?

Then let's see some confirmation that it is OK, post the output of all the commands in the 'Verify..' section of the Split DNS article.

1. The hosts file is set correctly for localhost and the server, including fqdn in the right order and host
2. The host resolves in dns, internally and externally
3. The host has an MX record
4. The firewall is not the issue here, i dump everything to logs there are no drops
5. Everything is hosted on one box, so there are no external calls

Do you think there's something wrong in asking you to confirm that what you've said is 'working' is actually OK? Posting comments such as 'it's all working OK' does nothing to further my understanding of what your problem is so I'll leave and your attitude to get on with it.

I can confirm that on 10.04 and 6.0.8.
It happens randomly and blocks access to web panel.
