I noticed "saslauthd: auth_zimbra_init: zimbra_cert_check is off!" in the logs. What does that mean? I haven't been able to find any info on the message in the docs.
TIA

are you having any problems with smtp auth? are you using tls for that (i.e. are clear-text logins disabled)? if zimbra_cert_check is on, saslauthd will verify the existence of the zimbra_cert_file. tls won't work without it, though it should just be there. the default location is /opt/zimbra/conf/smtpd.crt
i guess you could modify this stuff in /opt/zimbra/cyrus-sasl/etc/saslauthd.conf.in and run "zmsaslauthdctl restart"
I have the same problem, but in my case my server stopped all the services, I just did what you said and...until now it works, Thank you for your advice.
I have Ubunto 10 LST 64bits Zimbra 10.04
