Default [SOLVED] Domain CatchAll to External Email address

Howdy Guys,
Firstly I hate catch all's and are in the process of trashing them.

But we have just combined 3 company into 1 new one and in turn 3 domains into 1 new one.

2 of the domains have ALOT of legacy forwards set up (500+ for one and 700+ for the other) and catch all on 2 of the domains as well.

domaina.com 500+ forwarders
domainb.com 700+ forwarders and catchall
domainc.com catchall
newdomain.com - accounts and forwarders only (but not migrated to zimbra yet will be next few weeks)

I have moved domaina.com, domainb.com and domainc.com to zimbra with a cutdown list of forwarders (no real accounts)

What I am trying to do is:
Have the catch all for each 3 domains going to a single catchall@newdomain.com account which can be used to catch any important missed forwarders.
catchall@newdomain.com will be actively checked for this reason.
catchall@newdomain.com will be an on an external server for about 2 weeks then moved to zimbra.

Then over time faze out the catchalls.

So can I do the domain catchall to a single external email address? if so how .. and then how can this be removed at a later date.

Any help would be great.

Cheers
Ben

The catchall account is just an email addres and can therefore be an internal or external address, see this article:

Thanks Bill for the quick reply,
Sorry I have already been over that page a few times and the manage domains page and I'm not even close to being clear on how to do 3 domain catch all's to 1 email address.

Are you saying that I need to
add the newdomain.com
create an account on zimbra
create the catchall to the new account (this will also only seems to allow me to do one domain catch all at a time)
then splitdomain it to send the mail off to the current server?

Cheers
Ben

There should be nothing else to do other than the steps above unless you have another server in the same domain, if you do then follow the steps in the wiki article.

zmprov md newdomain.com zimbraMailCatchAllAddress @newdomain.com

zmprov md newdomain.com zimbraMailTransport smtp:mail.newdomain.com

zmprov ma catchall@newdomain.com zimbraMailCatchAllAddress @domaina.com
zmprov ma catchall@newdomain.com zimbraMailCatchAllAddress @domainb.com
zmprov ma catchall@newdomain.com zimbraMailCatchAllAddress @domainc.com

Ended up doing this and it seems to work

Code:
zmprov cd newdomain.com
zmprov ca catchall@newdomain.com 123password
zmprov ma catchall@newdomain.com zimbraMailTransport smtp:mail.newdomain.com:25

zmprov md newdomain.com zimbraMailCatchAllAddress @newdomain.com
zmprov md newdomain.com zimbraMailCatchAllForwardingAddress @newdomain.com
zmprov md newdomain.com zimbraMailTransport smtp:mail.newdomain.com

zmprov ma catchall@newdomain.com zimbraMailCatchAllAddress @domaina.com zimbraMailCatchAllAddress @domainb.com zimbraMailCatchAllAddress @domainc.com
Last bit had to be on a single line
