Default Zimbra server scheduled downtime

Hi Zimbra-ites!

I am deploying a new zimbra Open source server for my company. A strange request came down from the CEO. He would like to disable email access on tuesday and thursday between 1100am and 300pm.

short of just shutting down the servers, what would be a good way to accomplish this. Of course emails sent to us during that period should still be delievered to mailboxes, but users should not be able to login to check either from thier office, or mobile devices/external locations

thanks

You can lock the domain in the admin gui. Configuration -> domain -> $domain -> General Information tab. Does that sound like what you want?

Will this prevent mail sent to that domain from being recieved by the server? Also i definitely will need to find a way to schedule this event since i do not want to do it manually twice a week.

The lockout status will allow mail to be delivered to users' boxes, while preventing them from logging in. The cli command is going to be something like
zmprov md $domainname zimbraDomainStatus locked
