Are HSM's or backups recored in redo logs

Can someone tell me if system commands like zmhsm or zmbackup result in entries in the redo logs?

My customer is itching for an HA zimbra and shipping redo logs seems to be a viable approach but I'd like to know if replaying a redo log could potentially kick off an hsm move or backup.

Bumped this. Still wondering if redo logs can be used to implement a warm backup mail server.
